Every summer Micah 6 sponsors “Summer Slam.” This is an amazing event for the Pontiac community involving distributing hygiene kits, backpacks, school supplies and clothes. They also provide services like haircuts and physicals. Each year LCM collects hygiene kit items. Items will be collected during May and June. Items will be collected in the narthex.
Below is a list of the items needed to complete one kit, although any amount of any of these items is appreciated. Please make note of the sizes.
All items in a kit must fit in a gallon Ziploc.
- 4 oz bar of soap
- 10-12 oz bottle of shampoo (adult or child)
- 2.6 oz stick deodorant
- 6 oz tube of toothpaste (adult or child)
- Regular size toothbrush (adult or child)
